Fuel tanker explodes in Sanandaj, kills 11, injures 5

Local Iranian media reported that the fuel tanker was exploded a result of a traffic accident in Sanandaj.

The tanker, which was traveling on the Hamedan-Sanandaj Highway, was involved in an accident due to a technical fault in the braking system, said the governor of Sanandaj, local media were cited as reporting. 

The govenor said that the following fire was contained.

Six people were also injured in the incident, the governor said.
