TEHRAN \u2013 In a landmark meeting underscoring Iran\u2019s unwavering commitment to the Palestinian cause, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, recently received the head of Hamas\u2019s Leadership Council, Muhammad Ismail Darwish, and his delegation in Tehran.<\/p>\n
The discussions, held against the backdrop of what Palestinian Resistance forces hail as a \u201cdivine victory\u201d over the Israeli regime, reaffirmed Iran\u2019s pivotal role as the cornerstone of support for Gaza\u2019s heroic struggle.<\/p>\n
In a subsequent interview with Khamenei.ir, Darwish said the meeting offered a critical opportunity to align regional Resistance efforts.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Leader of the Islamic Revolution emphasized his extensive support for the Palestinian people and their just cause, as well as for the Resistance in Palestine and the region,\u201d he stated, stressing that Ayatollah Khamenei has consistently proven himself \u201cthe greatest supporter of the Resistance.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Hamas official described Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, which successfully targeted Israeli positions in the occupied territories on October 6, 2023, as a turning point shattering the myth of Zionist invincibility.<\/p>\n
In the ensuing 15 months of war that Israel waged on Gaza, he noted, the enemy failed to destroy Hamas, recover prisoners, or maintain a foothold in Gaza, objectives it had rolled out at the beginning of its killing campaign.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cBy God\u2019s will, we shattered the enemy\u2019s might,\u201d Darwish declared, crediting the Palestinian people\u2019s \u201cextraordinary steadfastness\u201d as the driving force behind this historic triumph.<\/p>\n
Gaza\u2019s unbreakable morale<\/strong><\/p>\n Addressing the staggering toll of over 50,000 martyrs and hundreds of thousands of wounded individuals, Darwish emphasized that Gaza\u2019s resolve remains unshaken.<\/p>\n \u201cThe Palestinian people have become accustomed to sacrifice,\u201d he asserted, adding that their return to northern Gaza\u2014despite the Zionists\u2019 campaign of displacement\u2014sent a resounding message: \u201cResistance will be victorious, and Palestine will liberate Al-Quds.\u201d<\/p>\n He reserved sharp condemnation for U.S. President Donald Trump\u2019s recent calls to ethnically cleanse Gaza, branding such rhetoric as part of a failed colonial legacy.<\/p>\n \u201cHalf a million Palestinians returned to their homeland in 48 hours\u2014without homes, tents, or shelter\u2014and stood firm like olive trees,\u201d Darwish remarked.<\/p>\n \u201cThis was the greatest response to Trump and his delusional projects.\u201d<\/p>\n West Bank Resistance and the normalization mirage<\/strong><\/p>\n Turning to escalating Zionist violence in the West Bank, Darwish warned that efforts to crush Resistance there would prove futile.<\/p>\n \u201cThe Resistance has taken root in the West Bank just as it has in Gaza,\u201d he said, predicting that operations will intensify until the occupation collapses.<\/p>\n He further hailed Operation Al-Aqsa Storm for derailing U.S.-backed “normalization schemes” between Arab states and the Israeli regime.<\/p>\n \u201cThe normalization train halted on October 7, 2023, and remains that way,\u201d Darwish declared.<\/p>\n Martyrs: the architects of liberation<\/strong><\/p>\n Elsewhere in the interview, the senior Hamas official reflected on the sacrifices of Palestinian commanders like Yahya Sinwar and Muhammad Deif, who lost their lives while fighting Israel\u2019s latest war on Gaza.\u00a0<\/p>\n \u201cThe blood of our leaders irrigates the tree of victory,\u201d he said, quoting a verse recited by the late Abu Ibrahim [Yahya] Sinwar: \u201cFor crimson freedom, there is a door knocked with bloodstained hands.\u201d<\/p>\n He hailed Deif, the mastermind behind Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, as a \u201clegendary figure\u201d who evaded seven assassination attempts over 30 years.<\/p>\n \u201cHis martyrdom in battle crowned a lifetime of struggle,\u201d Darwish stated, recalling Deif\u2019s years of meticulous planning.<\/p>\n \u201cAbu Khalid\u2019s [Sinwar’s] determination epitomizes why we will pray in Al-Quds\u2014alongside our brothers in Iran, Lebanon, Yemen, and Iraq.\u201d<\/p>\n Unity of the fields: a path to liberation<\/strong><\/p>\n The Hamas official concluded by highlighting the \u201cspiritual and military unity\u201d forged during Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, which he noted galvanized global solidarity.<\/p>\n \u201cThis operation proved that the Resistance, under Ayatollah Khamenei\u2019s guidance, can redefine regional equations,\u201d he affirmed.<\/p>\n Darwish\u2019s words echoed the Leader\u2019s recent declaration that \u201cPalestine remains the Islamic Ummah\u2019s foremost priority.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cWith God\u2019s permission,\u201d he concluded, \u201cwe will march to Al-Quds together, hand in hand with every Resistance fighter who stood by Palestine.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
