Hezbollah Deputy Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem confirmed on Tuesday that Hezbollah’s command and control as well as the management of the party and the Resistance are \u201cin an orderly manner and in accordance with the party’s norms,\u201d stressing that the Resistance \u201covercame the painful blows that it suffered.\u201d<\/p>\n
In a televised address commemorating the\u00a0anniversary of the Lebanese Support Front for the Gaza Strip on October 8, 2023, Sheikh Qassem reassured the Resistance’s popular base, stating, “We do not have any vacant positions [within Hezbollah]; all positions are filled, and\u00a0Hezbollah is operating orderly and at full readiness.”<\/p>\n
He explained that the party “will proceed with the election of the Secretary-General as per the party’s regulations,” which will be announced at the appropriate time.<\/p>\n
Sheikh Qassem affirmed that the merits and capabilities that the martyred leaders possessed are evident in their assistants and possible successors.<\/p>\n
He also stressed that “the administration is cohesive” and so are “the Resistance fighters on the frontlines.”<\/p>\n
“This war has not affected our will and will not affect our determination to confront [the enemy],” he maintained.<\/p>\n
Sheikh Qassem pointed out that the\u00a0Resistance fighters have proven their worth\u00a0on the battleground.<\/p>\n
After all “they are the sons of the master of the martyrs of the Axis of Resistance, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah,” he affirmed.<\/p>\n
Hezbollah\u2019s deputy secretary general\u00a0also stressed that the Lebanese resistance group will continue striking Israel until there is a ceasefire in Gaza.<\/p>\n
He said the United States and some European states are complicit in all the crimes committed by Israel in Gaza.\u00a0<\/p>\n
He noted had it not been for the US support, \u201cthe Israeli aggression would have stopped within a month.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
He praised the Hamas operation saying it marks the beginning of altering the face of the\u00a0West Asia region with the involvement of resistance groups.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Qassem also touched upon Israel\u2019s ongoing aggression against Lebanon. \u00a0<\/p>\n
\u201cWe support the political efforts led by (Parliament Speaker Nabih) Berri under the banner of achieving a ceasefire. Once the ceasefire is firmly established and diplomacy can reach it, all other details will be discussed and decisions will be made collaboratively,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
