TEHRAN \u2013 The head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) has refuted claims that transferring enriched uranium out of the country was discussed in recent nuclear talks with the United States in Oman, rejecting speculation about the removal of enriched uranium from the country.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Mohammad Eslami emphasized that the issue has not been part of the negotiation agenda between Iran and the United States.\u00a0<\/p>\n
While some countries submitted proposals intended to assist the talks, the matter was not addressed during the negotiations in Muscat, he pointed out, IRNA reported.<\/p>\n
On whether dilution of Iran\u2019s 60-percent enriched uranium had been raised in talks with the U.S., Eslami said it would depend on whether all sanctions were lifted in return.<\/p>\n
Eslami also said that Iran\u2019s relations with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will continue, adding that the Agency has an outstanding obligation regarding the military attack on Iran\u2019s safeguarded facilities in June 2025 by Israel and the United States.<\/p>\n
The IAEA cannot remain silent about the attacks on Iran\u2019s nuclear facilities, whose nuclear activities are monitored by the UN nuclear watchdog, he said, adding that silence will damage the reputation of the UN body.<\/p>\n
Eslami also said that with the authorization of Iran\u2019s Supreme National Security Council, IAEA inspectors have been conducting visits to Iran\u2019s nuclear installations not attacked by Israel and the U.S. \u00a0

\n He added that visits to other facilities are scheduled in the coming days.<\/p>\n
He stressed that Iran\u2019s rights under IAEA regulations must be upheld, noting that the Agency is responsible for encouraging and supporting the peaceful use of nuclear technology in Iran.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n
