Loffredo wasn\u2019t the first or only journalist to report on Iran\u2019s retaliatory military operation on October 1, but his video report on the missile damage attracted significant attention.<\/p>\n

Loffredo said the lack of coverage of Iran\u2019s retaliatory operation by the Israeli media reflects a deeper issue: an \u201centrenched ideological patronage system\u201d within the Israeli regime.<\/p>\n
\u201cIsraeli investigative journalists prioritize loyalty to the military over their responsibility to inform the public and any news that portrays Israel as vulnerable, it\u2019s often suppressed or downplayed in mainstream media,\u201d he told the Press TV website.<\/p>\n
He said that it remains \u201cunclear\u201d why Israeli authorities targeted him specifically, but noted that their intelligence services claimed his reporting for Grayzone included \u201cmore precise details on missile impact locations than those reported by other outlets.\u201d<\/p>\n
