TEHRAN \u2013 Executive Vice President Mohammad-Jaafar Qaempanah has lauded the 37th National Handicrafts Exhibition as a celebration of national unity and cultural diversity, describing it as a \u201crainbow of Iran\u2019s ethnic groups.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cArt, including handicrafts, is immune to unjust sanctions,\u201d the official said referring to the severe U.S. sanctions targeting Iran\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n
He made these remarks on Saturday during a visit to the major exhibition, emphasizing the role of art and handicrafts in fostering national unity and promoting Iranian culture globally.<\/p>\n
Qaempanah then highlighted the potential role of government institutions, particularly the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in supporting the sale and export of handcrafted works created by Iranian artists.<\/p>\n
Expressing admiration for the diversity and creativity on display, Qaempanah said: \u201cThe exhibition reflects the greatness and creativity of the Iranian people. Artists from every province and ethnic group have come together here, showcasing the profound beauty of Iranian handicrafts.\u201d<\/p>\n
The official also praised the exhibition\u2019s booth designs, noting their innovative incorporation of Iran\u2019s historical and cultural landmarks.<\/p>\n
Referring to the government\u2019s focus on unity and inclusivity, Qaempanah added, \u201cThis exhibition embodies the national solidarity the government aspires to achieve. These artists, united by their dedication to Iran and its culture, represent the harmony and pride of their country.\u201d<\/p>\n
He then acknowledged handicrafts as a vital medium for sharing Iran\u2019s rich heritage and said: \u201cHandicrafts are a key avenue for introducing the culture of Greater Iran to the world. The government\u2019s plan is to fully support this valuable industry across various sectors.\u201d<\/p>\n
He further advocated for promoting the use of locally made handicrafts in government offices and among the public, emphasizing their role in strengthening national identity and fostering unity. \u201cEach handcrafted piece reflects the culture of its region, and adopting them can promote national solidarity and security.\u201d<\/p>\n
Qaempanah concluded with words of encouragement for the artisans, stating, \u201cWe take pride in our handicraft artists. You are the guardians of Iran\u2019s great heritage, capable of preserving and sharing it with the world.\u201d<\/p>\n
The 37th National Handicrafts Exhibition, which came to an end on Saturday evening, brought together artists and craftsmen from across Iran, who celebrated diverse cultural and artistic traditions passed down from generation to generation.<\/p>\n
