The deployment \u201cunderscores the United States\u2019 ironclad commitment to the defense of Israel, and to defend Americans in Israel, from any further ballistic missile attacks by Iran,\u201d says Washington. \u201cIt is part of the broader adjustments the US military has made in recent months, to support the defense of Israel and protect Americans from attacks by Iran and its regional allies.\u201d<\/p>\n
On October 1, Iran responded to the Israeli assassination of Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh, Hezbollah Secretary General Seyed Hassan Nasrallah, and IRGC general Abbas Nilforoushan by launching as many as 200 ballistic missiles toward the Zionist regime\u2019s military and intelligence bases all over the occupied Palestinian territories.<\/p>\n
While the Israeli regime has threatened to retaliate, Iranian officials have warned that Tehran\u2019s reciprocal response to any Israeli action will be harsh, proportional and well-calculate.<\/p>\n
