{"id":9273,"date":"2024-12-03T16:37:43","date_gmt":"2024-12-03T13:07:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/en.hamsonews.com\/ministry-of-interior-unicef-sign-mou\/"},"modified":"2024-12-03T16:37:43","modified_gmt":"2024-12-03T13:07:43","slug":"ministry-of-interior-unicef-sign-mou","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hamsonews.com\/en\/ministry-of-interior-unicef-sign-mou\/","title":{"rendered":"Ministry of interior, UNICEF sign MOU"},"content":{"rendered":"<p> <br \/>\n<br \/><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/en.hamsonews.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/5273847.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<div class=\"item-text\">\n<p class=\"summary\">TEHRAN \u2013The ministry of interior and the United Nations Children\u2019s Fund (UNICEF) have signed a memorandum of understanding to foster cooperation on crisis management, social harms,  and refugees.<\/p>\n<p>The MOU was signed on Tuesday by Monika Oledzka Nielsen, the UNICEF ad interim Representative in Iran, and Mehdi Javaheri, an official with the ministry of interior.<\/p>\n<p>The agreement involves conducting joint efforts to eradicate poverty, reduce risks from disasters, and address refugees\u2019 problems, IRNA quoted Oledzka Nielsen, as saying.<\/p>\n<p>Javaheri, for his part, expressed optimism to conduct more joint activities with UNICEF in the near future.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size:16px\"><strong>Recent partnership\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>In November, the UNICEF and Book City Institute signed a three-year agreement to promote children\u2019s welfare and rights across the country.<\/p>\n<p>This collaboration aims to leverage the unique strengths, networks, and expertise of both organizations to support the most vulnerable children in various provinces of the country, the UNICEF website announced in a press release.<\/p>\n<p>As part of this partnership, the two partners will launch a series of advocacy and awareness-raising initiatives to foster a love for reading among children.<\/p>\n<p>Key activities will include organizing book-reading leagues and clubs for vulnerable children, instituting cultural awards to honor children\u2019s book authors and publishers, and mobilizing resources to support UNICEF\u2019s critical programs in Iran.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>On September 9, the Iran-Austria Joint Chamber of Commerce (IAJCC) and UNICEF signed a three-year agreement to work for the welfare and well-being of children in Iran.<\/p>\n<p>As per this partnership, the IAJCC will mobilize its members\u2019 financial support for UNICEF programs in Iran.
